Professor Lagarto, coach Lagartinho and Leslie all went to Japan to compete in the first ever Abu Dhabi Grand Slam tournament in Tokyo. The Grandslam consists of four tournaments set in countries which have an important part to play in Jiu Jitsu.

The team came out victorious with two gold medals, one silver and one bronze showing the high level of jiujitsu that our school has.

Our school always follows the Gracie Barra philosophy of a healthy lifestyle, free of any drugs or alcohol which can be seen by the performance of Professor Lagarto, who has been competing at the highest level for over a decade while still fighting and winning the adult division which could only be achieved following this lifestyle.

Professor Lagarto came up with the idea for the team to follow as many of the grandslam tournaments as possible.

Travelling to international competitions is always a great opportunity to learn and open one’s mind.
